A Different Kind of Fruit
We all know the kind of world we want to live in – one filled with kindness, patience, and joy instead of anger, selfishness, and greed. But those qualities don’t just grow by accident.
This ancient text lists nine qualities that make life richer: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. They’re called “fruits” because, like real fruit, they grow when the conditions are right.
The idea is simple but challenging: when we connect our lives to something bigger than ourselves – something good, trustworthy, and loving – these qualities start to show up naturally, shaping how we treat others and how we handle life.
Here’s the invitation: Choose one of those nine today and look for a way to practice it. You might be surprised how much it changes the people around you… and you.
You may find something that resonates deeply with your own journey.
