Sparks

Something happens when children get the space to play, create, and belong. Confidence grows. Friendships form. Character takes shape. That’s what Sparks is about.

Sparks is our weekly children’s group for children in Reception through to Year 4. Every Thursday evening we gather at The Hive in Rayleigh, Essex, for a packed programme of activities: games, craft, cooking, storytelling, challenges, new skills, and the occasional outing. There’s always something going on, and there’s always a place for your child.

We are currently only open to boys, but we’ll be welcoming girls in September 2026.

We’re rooted in Christian faith, and that shapes everything we do. Not in a way that feels heavy or exclusive, but in the warmth of the welcome, the values we build into every session, and the stories we tell. Children don’t need to come from a church background to thrive here. They just need to turn up.

Every leader is fully trained, DBS checked, and first aid qualified. Safeguarding is taken seriously at every level.
